exterior changes were minimal, the rear light clusters moved to wrap around

The HG
continued the body shape from the two preceeding
models thereby making it the first Holden to be used over three models. With
a life of just 12 months, the Premier sold for $2984. It was the last full
sized Holden to have front quarter vent windows. |

intention to continue to build big cars. While offering the same interior

clever styling enhancements, the XE Falcon was lower and sleeker than its
predecessor. Touted at the time as ‘the last of the production V8s’ and among
the first automobiles to garner the prestigious Australian Design Award, it’s
no wonder Police forces throughout Australia immediately obtained them by the
score. |

Ice Blue FORD XF Falcon

October 1984 The XF Falcon
was the third in the current body shape following directly on from the
success of the XD and XE. With over 278,000 cars sold over four years of
production, the XF is one
of the highest selling Falcons ever produced in Australia and
was the first model since the XP not to offer a V8 engine in the range. Half
way through production in 1986 the six cylinder engine was modified to run on
unleaded fuel and other modifications like power steering, 4 wheel disc
brakes, and orange front indicators added to the front bumper where it
wrapped around the guard, became standard issue on all models. |

TR87 Seagull Grey HOLDEN FB
Standard Station Sedan Released
January 1960 The FB wagon
signalled the US styling influence of the time and also offered all of the
improvements that the FB sedan brought. Of note was the use of the sedan rear
doors resulting in an unusually shaped rear side glass and mouldings. |

Special Station Sedan Released
January 1960 The FB wagon signalled
the US styling influence of the time and also offered all of the improvements
that the FB sedan brought. Of note was the use of the sedan rear doors
resulting in an unusually shaped rear side glass and mouldings. The
introduction of the FB saw the Business Sedan discontinued leaving only the
Standard and the Special as trim level options which came with the new “Magic
Mirror” Acrylic paint. The Special Station Sedan was coded by GM as the
FB/229. |
